![]() I'm only playing on Hard (not the highest). I die a few times here and there until I figure out how to beat a boss or other strong enemy. I only didn't like having no choice to stand against an obviously malicious character, but other than that so far I like how the stories are told (there has been some decision making too, the conseqquences of which are not yet apparent) and the dungeon crawling is fun and challenging. I just got done with the third main story mission, though the situations in the second are sure to be revisited later, too many loose ends were left over. No major complaints from me, I loved that game even though it wasn't an open RPG and so far this is pretty damn good too. ![]() You could say it's their Icewind Dale of sorts. ![]() It's certainly been much more straightforward than previous Spiderweb games. I bought the game after exhausting the demo's playability. The areas seem pretty large though, with multiple levels each, and the writing, while simple (I'm still basically in my first main quest, though you can do various simple side quests along the way) is better than most games.Īfter I bought it and progressed more they evolved into these: It's trying to be more accessible I guess, so don't expect the same depth in every way (such as combat, it's neat but it's no d&d). It's basically fun like Infinity Engine games used to be, though not as ambitious of course, the team isn't exactly the size of Black Isle. It might not look it, but it's been a joy to play after I got over the initial annoyances and disappointment with certain details here and there. The game drew me in and I can already see the sinister potential the story holds under the rather straightforward introductory fluff I have to go through. I got the hang of it, levelled up a few times and saw how the core mechanics work. Disable Showmeall Code: Type dontshowmeall. My first impressions based on the demo were these: Enabling cheat codes will prevent medals from becoming unlocked until you leave the current region. The defenders of Avadon are being picked off, one by one, and you are the next target.I like it a lot. If you cannot discover and destroy this conspiracy, and soon, your people face total destruction. Assassins are killing Avadon's warriors, and a hidden enemy plots to unite all of your homeland's foes. Update: V1.4 (5/23/11)-Deluxe version had to be nerfed slightly because with some builds it was still possible to trigger 'high damage' errors (h/t to Superba). Your resources are unlimited, and your word is law. Update: V1.3.1- Fixed a minor bug and added the option to retrain the whole party at once, useful if you are unable to change the party order due to having unspent skill points. If Nathalie is the higher Dex char and also frenzy and you hit from a distance, then you have at first a second hit from her, then two hits each by the rest of the party, than foes are dazed and loose turn or react but they will still be far, and you have three more double hits of yours before they strike back (when there's someone left out there). You fight in the shadows, rooting out small threats before they have the chance to grow. The warriors and spies of Avadon are charged to keep them at bay, weak and divided. Outside the lands of the Pact, there are limitless threats. The purpose of the Pact: To hold back the waves of invaders that seek to destroy you. Your job is to protect the Pact, five nations that have banded together in a fragile alliance. ![]()
